SimuDome Collaboration Partners
1. Lodz University of Technology
Faculty of Organization and Management Department of Supply Chain Management
The collaboration with Lodz University of Technology focuses on developing modern training scenarios using SimuDome’s immersive technology. The project includes the preparation of VR content adapted for presentation in a cylindrical environment.
Main areas of activity:
- employee onboarding in an immersive environment
- workstation training in simulated conditions
- mapping and simulation of production and warehouse processes
- building realistic operational scenarios for industry and logistics
The goal of the collaboration is to increase training effectiveness by placing participants in a realistic, controlled decision-making environment.
2. VOXLab – Lodz University of Technology
Faculty of Computer Science
As part of the collaboration with VOXLab, an experimental project is being carried out in the area of wellbeing and psychophysical health, using 360 immersive environments.
Project scope:
- development of a relaxation scenario (breathing simulation in an underwater environment)
- conducting research on a control group experiencing elevated stress levels
- analysis of the impact of immersion on stress reduction
The project uses advanced measurement tools:
biometric wristbands (Empatica Embrace Plus)
EEG (brain activity measurement)
The goal is the scientific validation of the effectiveness of immersive scenarios in reducing stress levels, as well as the development of new SimuDome applications in the areas of wellbeing and mental health.
3. Warsaw University of Technology
Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography
The collaboration with Warsaw University of Technology concerns the use of SimuDome for visualization and interaction with Digital Twins at the building and city scale.
Scope of activities:
- presentation of digital models of buildings and urban spaces inside the dome
- user interaction with the virtual environment (movement, space exploration)
- integration of Unreal Engine technology with the fulldome projection system
- use of gaze direction sensors to control the viewing perspective
Additionally:
- development of an application enabling the presentation of change scenarios in the city model (e.g. urban planning, infrastructure, spatial planning)
- The goal of the collaboration is to develop tools for immersive spatial analysis and consultation in the context of Smart City and Digital Twin solutions.
4. Polish Academy of Sciences
Institute of Psychology
The collaboration with the Institute of Psychology of the Polish Academy of Sciences focuses on therapeutic applications of immersive technology within the DUA USE project.
Scope of activities:
- support for PTSD treatment (especially among uniformed services) through immersive therapeutic sessions
- use of dedicated 360 recordings conducted under the supervision of a specialist
- phobia therapy (e.g. fear of crowds) using controlled immersive scenarios
SimuDome technology enables:
- gradual exposure to stimuli in a safe environment
- full control over the therapeutic scenario
- increased patient engagement in the therapy process
The goal of the collaboration is the development and validation of new therapeutic methods based on 360 immersion and their potential implementation in clinical practice.
