Testing the Future of Urban Planning at Warsaw University of Technology

SimuDome technology is being developed in close collaboration with leading scientific institutions. One of our key partners in exploring new applications for immersive spatial analysis is the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography at the Warsaw University of Technology.

Recently, the SimuDome team visited our test dome installation located in the CENAGIS laboratory at the university. This space allows us to experiment with immersive visualization of spatial data and explore new approaches to urban planning and Smart City design.

A Living Laboratory for Spatial Innovation

The CENAGIS laboratory provides an ideal environment to test how immersive technologies can support spatial analysis and decision-making. Inside the dome, complex geospatial datasets can be presented in a fully surrounding visual environment, allowing researchers and practitioners to experience urban space in a completely new way.

Working directly with scientists and specialists from the Faculty of Geodesy and Cartography allows us to combine advanced academic knowledge with real technological experimentation. Together we explore how immersive visualization can support:

  • urban planning and spatial policy discussions
  • Smart City scenario simulations
  • collaborative analysis of spatial data
  • new methods of presenting complex geographic information

Collaboration with Experts

We are fortunate to collaborate with outstanding researchers and professionals who bring deep expertise in geodesy, cartography, and spatial data science. Their insights help us continuously refine the SimuDome platform and explore new practical applications of immersive environments.

This collaboration ensures that SimuDome is not just a visualization tool, but a research-driven platform for spatial decision support.

Expanding Possibilities

Each visit to the test installation brings new ideas and experiments. The combination of immersive visualization, scientific expertise, and real spatial datasets opens the door to entirely new ways of understanding cities and infrastructure.

Thanks to collaborations like this, the SimuDome platform continues to evolve — unlocking new possibilities for urban planning, Smart City development, and spatial data exploration.

We are excited to keep building these capabilities together with our academic partners and to translate research insights into real-world solutions.
